This lovely lady is called a pocket lady because if you were a little girl living in the 19th century you would of worn a apron and it might of had pockets. And when mother would have needed your help a doll that could easily slip into your pocket would have been very special to you.
This little woman is slightly flat at only 1 1/2 " deep. She wear a dress of the period and her basket is loose, brown with a blue inside.
She has a historical feel and the warmth of the papier mache from which she is made helps her look period.
